Born August 3, 1931, in Lexington, to Leonard and Clara Borne.
Heaven gained an angel on March 26, 2020.
She married Benjamin Herman Hoeppner on August 5, 1950.
Alice worked at Lafayette County Courthouse as a Deputy County Clerk her entire career, she was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies' Auxiliary. She was devoted to her faith. She was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Lexington.
She is survived by her daughter Patricia (Tony) Ellis of Richmond, son Ralph A. "Tony" (Suzanne) Hoeppner of Spring Hill, KS; grandchildren: Chris (Emily) Ellis of Richmond, Bret Ellis of Richmond, Devon (Steven) Cromley of Columbia, Shawn Hoeppner of Versailles, Kyle (Laura) Hoeppner of New Bloomfield, Nathan Hoeppner of Overland Park, KS, and Brian Hoeppner of Kansas City; 11 great-grandchildren: Callie, Caynen, and Carleigh Ellis, Gavin, Carsyn, and Morgan Cromley, Kinley Ellis, Mattie, Tanner, and Cannon Hoeppner, and Shelby Hoeppner; and sister, Virginia Jameson of Perry, KS.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Herman Hoeppner, sister, Evelyn Carelli, and her son, Steven Hoeppner.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to either the Knights of Columbus Ladies' Auxiliary or Ray County Home Health. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, 64085.
A visitation followed by a memorial mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lexington, with a rosary to begin at 9:30 A.M. Inurnment will follow services in Lexington Memory Gardens. Ceremonies entrusted to Thurman Funeral Home.
