ALICE ROBERTS

Alice Roberts, 92, of Richmond, MO died at 4:24 p.m. at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Alice was born on October 10, 1918 in Tina, MO to Luke and Phoebe (Key) Knott. She married William Archie Roberts of Henrietta on May 16, 1948; he preceded her in death on May 1, 1999.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Shirley M. Roberts of Missouri City, MO; 3 grandchildren, Dennis Keith Roberts and his wife, Cindy, Tina Marie Martin and Karnette Jane Roberts; 4 great-grandchildren, Melissa Roberts, Jerad Roberts and his wife, Lisa, Michael Martin and his wife, Stephanie and Stacey Martin; one great-great-granddaughter, Ava Renee Martin; two brothers, Bobby Knott of Carrollton, MO and Johnny Knott of Sedalia, MO; and several nieces.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by step-son, James K. Robers; three brothers, Raymond Knott, Clarence Knott and Lewis Knott; and two sisters, Ethel Lewis and Viola Terrell.
Alice was a homemaker and housewife. At one time she had worked as a seamstress for Dumbrooke Shirt Factory in Lexington, MO. She was a member of the Richmond First Baptist Church. She had lived most of her life in the Richmond area.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens in Richmond. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
