ALVA MORRIS HESSENFLOW

Alva Morris "Al" Hessenflow, 94, of Richmond, MO died Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO.

Al was born on March 4, 1922 near Rayville, MO to Elmer and Leona (Clevenger) Hessenflow. He married Mary Lou Butler of Clinton, MO on June 31, 1947. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Stephanie Hessenflow of Richmond; two sisters, Florence Vance of Henrietta, MO and Wilma Mae Williams of Lexington, MO; 4 grandchildren, Neil Hessenflow, Chris (Rachael) Hessenflow, Ryan Hessenflow and Victoria Hill; 2 great-grandchildren, Audra Hessenflow and Gannon Hessenflow; and several nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Hessenflow, two sisters, Norma Snell Cunningham and Ester Jackson.

Al was a United States Army Veteran of WWII. He worked at General Motors Fairfax District for 30 years before retiring. He was also a farmer. He was of the Baptist faith. Al was a lifelong Ray County resident. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local #31.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Donor's Choice.
