ANGELA M. "ANGIE" COX

Angela M. "Angie" Cox, 64, of Richmond, MO, died at 5:39 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO.
Angie was born on October 8, 1947, in Kansas City, MO to Leo L. and Peggy (Sears) Ansell. They both preceded her in death. She married Dwight Harold Cox, Sr. of Leavenworth, KS on November 26, 1988. He preceded her in death on September 30, 2002.
Survivors include; one son, Tracy Lee Johnson, one daughter, Crickett Oliphant of Kansas City, MO. Three brothers, Steve Ansell and his wife, Kathy of Louisville, TX, Rick Ansell of Raytown, Mo, and Tim Chaney, two sisters, Pam Morris of Richmond, MO, Althea Taylor and her husband. John of Richmond, MO, one step-son, Dwight H. Cox, Jr. of California, two step-daughters, Barbara O'Meara of Pleasanton, CA, Laura Cox of Lawrence, KS, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Angie was a school bus driver for Fowler Bus Company in Richmond for six years. She worked in the sales department at Midland Communications in Kansas City for five years. She was also a licensed beautician. She was of the Christian faith. She had lived in Kansas City before moving to the Richmond area in 1988.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Angela M. Cox memorial fund.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be held in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO at a later date.
