ANNA LAURA BAKER SILKWOOD TERRELL
Anna Laura Terrell, 96, of Warrensburg, MO died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Warrensburg Manor Care in Warrensburg.
Anna was born on December 11, 1915 in Caldwell County, MO to George W. and Ona Mae (Pendleton) Baker. She first married Ora Delbert Silkwood on February 15, 1933; he preceded her in death on April 1, 1974; she later married Ernest E. Terrell on March 1, 1979; he preceded her in death on April 18, 1998.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Norman and Sandra Silkwood of Warrensburg and Lonnie and Norma Jean Silkwood of Versailles, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Bill Lewis of Gladstone, MO; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren;3 great-great-grandchildren; friends, Ruth Rudd, Westbrook Care Center in Kearney, MO and Nancy Kengor of Warrensburg, MO.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Anna was preceded in death by one son, Delbert Franklin Silkwood; grandson, Stony Mac Russell; brother, George W. Baker, Jr.; and sister, Virginia Lee Ross.
Anna was a Nurses Aid at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer, MO before retiring in 1978. She had lived in Kingston, Polo, Cowgill, Braymer, Versailles, Leeton and Warrensburg, MO. She was a member of the Bethel Christian Union Church in Polo, MO and First Baptist Church in Braymer. Anna loved gardening, cooking, bible study and being with her family.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made either to the First Baptist Church, 201 SE Hwy 116, Braymer, MO 64624; Crossroads Hospice, 9237 Ward Parkway, Suite 300, Kansas City, MO 64114.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Braymer. Visitation will be Friday, October 5, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
