ANNA BELLE LEE

Anna Belle Lee, 88, of Richmond, MO died Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.

Anna Belle was born on July 7, 1929 in Knoxville, MO to Arley Vinton and Nancy Mae (Rowan) Claypole. She married John W. Lee, Jr., of Rayville on May 21, 1948. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1993.

Survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Teresa Lee of Richmond; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Janet and Robert Duncan of Richmond and Kathy and Bill Cringan of Richmond; 6 grandchildren and their spouses, Kindy and Grant Kessler, Miranda and Brad Randall, Amanda and Heath Brown, Addie and John Dorton, Anna and Jeremy Quimiro and Chas and Leslie Teichman; and 10 great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, Anna Belle was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Claypole; one sister, Lorene Lee; step-daughter, Glenda Cox; and one step-granddaughter, Nancy Pearson.

Anna Belle was a homemaker. She also worked in the Dietary Department at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond for over 5 years before retiring. She also worked several years at Whitaker in Excelsior Springs, MO. She was a waitress at the Richmond Dairy Queen and Wrights 10-13 Cafe in Richmond. She was a member and leader of the Dale-Patton 4-H club and the Ray County Extension Club. Anna Belle was a member of the Rayville Christian Union Church. She lived in Richmond most of her life.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Rayville Christian Union Church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rayville Christian Union Church in Rayville, MO. Visitation will be Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
