ARTHUR DONALD WRIGHT

Arthur "Don" Wright, 79, of Richmond, MO, died on Friday, June 8, 2012 at the Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Don was born on January 27, 1933, in Camden, MO to Charles E. and Caroline E. (Essex) Wright. He was married to Martha S. Cravens of Camden, on February 17, 1956; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: one son Mike Wright (Tammy), Richmond; one daughter Vicki Clark (Randy), San Jose, CA; one brother William Wright (Mary), Richmond; four grandchildren Barron T. Clark (Kristy), Alexandra K. Clark, Sabrina Wilson (Mark), Skylar Wright; four great grandchildren, Annabelle and Olivia Clark, Bryson and Jaden Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Virgil, Robert and Ralph Wright and three sisters Hazel Duffett, Ruth Smith and Lillian Culpepper.
Don was raised and educated in Camden. At age 17, Don enlisted in the Army and served his country during the Korean War. Don worked for 32 years for General Motors and 20 years for Wal-Mart. Don was a Deacon in the Camden Baptist Church. His memberships included Richmond Masonic Lodge #57, Richmond V.F.W. and the UAW #93. He lived most of his life in Richmond.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in Craven's Cemetery near Camden, MO. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond in charge of arrangements.
