BARBARA E. CROOK

Barbara E. Crook, 60, of Richmond, MO, died at 5:48 a.m., on Monday, February 8, 2010 at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Barbara was born on April 14, 1949 to William O. and Rosemarie (Foley) Vassar. She married Daniel L. Crook of Richmond on June 7, 1984; he survives of the home.
Survivors include her father, William O. Vassar; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Chris and Evelyn MacDonald of Mesa, AZ and Matt and Jessica MacDonald of Lake Jackson, TX; step-daughter, Lisa Turner of Sedalia, MO; step-son, Steven Crook of Excelsior Springs, MO; three sisters and three brothers-in-law, Elizabeth and Dan Gibson of Kearney, MO, Susan and Bruce Moberly of Kearney and Claudia and Rick Mossberger of Kansas City, MO; and three grandchildren, Christian Turner, Jordan Turner and Abigail MacDonald also survive.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother.
Barbara was an owner and operator of the children's retail clothing stores; Apple Blossom Clothing Store in Richmond and Kid Krazy Clothing Store in Liberty. She was a member of the Richmond Christian Presbyterian Church. She had lived in Kansas City north before moving to Richmond in 1977. She was a 1967 graduate from Oak Park High School.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chandler Baptist Church in Liberty, MO. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be at the Richmond Memory Gardens in Richmond. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
