Bart Joseph Forsha, 36, of Richmond, died unexpectedly on November 12, 2018, at his residence.
Bart was born on September 4, 1982, in Lexington, to Rick and Sharon (Russell) Forsha.
Survivors include: his parents; one brother, Brayce Forsha and his wife Emily of Eugene, OR; one sister, Brinna Ford and her husband James of Richmond; three nephews, Eli Forsha, Isaac Forsha and Owen Ford and one niece, Bethany Ford; and baby Ford on the way; several aunts and uncles, Gail and Walt Colburn, Debbie and Jessie Lee and Nancy and Ed Bowles; his faithful companions, dogs Rosco and Jessie, along with his new edition that his niece Bethany named Snowball the cat.
Bart was reared and educated in Richmond and a 2001 graduate of Richmond High School. In high school, he participated in cross country, track and played the trumpet in the band. After attending college for a while, Bart found his love of woodworking. He began his career in the trade. First working for the carpenters union and then became a millwright. He was a member of Millwrights Union Local 1529 and employed with Genesys in Kansas City for the last three years. Bart was a great mechanic and spent his free time at the I-70 Raceway working on different vehicles. He enjoyed fishing, collecting guns and long range shooting. He was good at everything he did. His biggest love was animals. He was always willing to provide them food, love and a home, just like his new edition, Snowball the cat. Bart was of the Lutheran faith where he was baptized and confirmed.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the family's choice They can be dropped off or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street - P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Richmond. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
