BERRY DUANE PULLIAM

Berry Duane Pulliam, 65, of Richmond, MO died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Berry was born on November 5, 1947 in Excelsior Springs, MO to Carl D. and Alberta M. (Holloway) Pulliam. He married Jan Annette Grove of Hardin, MO on September 1, 1983; she survives of the home.
Survivors include his mother, Alberta M. Pulliam of Richmond; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Misty Pulliam of Hardin; 3 daughters and son-in-law, Carmen Heinman of Harrisonville, MO, Suanne and Kris Gillespie of Statesville, NC and Christina Pulliam of Belton, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Jeanne Pulliam of Richmond; 9 grandchildren; and 3 nieces.
In addition to his father, Berry was preceded in death by one brother, who died in infancy.
Berry was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a car salesman for Chuck Anderson Ford in Excelsior Springs and Swafford's Ford in Richmond. Berry was a manager of the MFA elevators in the Norborne and Hardin areas and was also a farmer. He had lived in the Stet and Richmond areas most of his life.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Hardin Baptist Church or to the Alzheimer's Association.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery north of Hardin, MO where military honors will be provided by the Ray County Veterans.
