BETTIE L. ROBINSON

Bettie L. Robinson, 88, of Independence, MO died Wednesday, May 09, 2012 at the Lakewood Long Term Care Center in Kansas City, MO
Bettie was born on November 14, 1923 in Richmond, MO to William Jesse and Nellie Victoria (Sullenger) Robinson.
Survivors include one sister, Sue Davidson of Richmond; 9 nieces and nephews, Nancy Anderson Crow, Vicky Earl, Margie Blankers, Beth Randolph, Bill Robinson, Mike Davidson, Phil Davidson, Debbie Mallory and, Janet Enloe who took care of her for the last few years.
In addition to her parents, Bettie was preceded in death by one brother, Charles J. Robinson; and three sisters, Nancy Anderson, Flora Beth Morton and Margaret Ray.
Bettie worked as a corporate secretary for the Interstate Bakeries in Kansas City, MO for 25 years before retiring in 1984. She was of the Baptist faith. She had lived in Richmond before moving to Independence in 1943. Bettie was a World War II Veteran in the United States Women's Marine Corp.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Disabled American Veterans.

Memorial Graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
