Betty Irene Ahnefeld 90, of Carrollton, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at Carroll House Nursing Home in Carrollton.

Betty was born on March 22, 1934 in Marshall to James and Mary Elizabeth (Rosen) Duvall.  She was united in marriage to Charles Lee Ahnefeld of Carrollton on July 4, 1953.  Charles Lee preceded her in death on April 6, 1987.

Betty was an avid gardener, skilled woodworker, and loved to spend time outdoors, whether it was fishing, or going on trail rides. She had a deep appreciation for animals, especially horses, and her active lifestyle reflected her vibrant spirit. She also enjoyed piecing together puzzles.

Above all, Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and took great joy in nurturing those relationships. Her unwavering faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a dedicated member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carrollton.

Betty's warmth, kindness, and zest for life touched everyone she met. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her Children, Jeanne Becker (Jerry), Charles Lee Ahnefeld (Caroline), Cheryl Hilbrenner (Jerry), Joe Ahnefeld (Tammy)  She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, James Duvall, Sr., two sisters, Mary Ellen Fury and Montie "Lucille" Bultmann.
