BETTY LOU DAVIS
Betty Lou Davis, 84, of Richmond, MO died at 12:43 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2011 at her home.
Betty was born on September 28, 1927 in Richmond to Ira George and Effie Ina (McCubbin) Hendrix. She married Ray Kenyard Davis of Henrietta, MO on November 2, 1957; he preceded her in death on January 8, 2002.
Survivors include one son and daughter in-law, Terry Ray and Susana Davis of Richmond; one daughter and son in-law, Kimberly Lou and Steven Maples of Richmond; one brother and sister in-law, Wendell and Shirley Hendrix of Richmond; and five grandchildren, Preston Maples, Sam Maples, Kendel Kreppes, Diego Salallandia and Diana Hernandez.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Hendrix; and four sisters, Mary Wells, Marjorie Kincaid, Colene Kincaid and Mildred Dial.
Betty was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Paul Christian Union Church near Knoxville, MO. She had lived in Richmond and Knoxville area most of her life. Betty was a private babysitter in her home for several years.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to the St. Paul Christian Union Church.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery in Richmond.
