Betty was born April 28, 1934, in Arkansas City, Kansas, to Ramie & Peggy Jones. On November 17, 1951, she married Harry E Hayes. Harry left for Korea the next day and Betty spent that time living with Harry's parents, in Marshall, MO. Betty made lifelong friends in Norborne and gave birth to their first child Vicki L Hayes, in 1956. In 1959 Betty created a new loving home in Chillicothe, MO. On December 19, 1963, she gave birth to their second child, Vince L Hayes. After Harry retired from Dean Machinery Co. Betty established another amazing home on the Lake of the Ozarks in Gravois Mills, MO. Ultimately, they left the Lake and moved to Blue Springs, MO.  Harry preceded Betty in death on May 4, 2002.

Betty's dear friends from Norborne meant the world to her. There really is no adjective to describe her love for them. Her coworkers at HELP Service were a huge part of her life as well.  All the special neighbors and church families were also a huge blessing in her everyday life.  We all will miss this tremendously special woman; the world is a darker place without her. Rest in Paradise Betty.
