BEULAH DARLENE MOPPIN

Beulah Darlene Moppin, 87, of Independence, MO, died on Friday, December 7, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO.
Darlene was born on March 18, 1925 in Oberlin, KS to Robert Lee and Eula (Nett) Cox. She married Melvin Moppin of Henrietta, MO on June 1, 1941. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2002.
Survivors include; two sons and daughters -in-law, Melvin Lee and Diane Moppin of Buckner, MO, Larry E. and Dixie D. Moppin of Climax Springs, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Ralph Lichtenberger of Kansas City, KS; five grandchildren and their spouses, Kristy and Jack Green, Ronnie Moppin, Vickie and Craig Stevens, Michael Moppin, Rev. Jason and Melissa Moppin; Nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.
Darlene was a homemaker and a Baptist. She had worked at Interstate Book Bindery, Harmon Industries and Lake City Arsenal. She was a Red Hatter. She had lived in Henrietta, Climax Springs and Buckner, MO, before moving to Independence.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements. On-line condolences may be left on our website at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
