BEUFORD ROGERS

Beuford Rogers, 77, of Camden, MO, died at 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO.
Beuford was born on September 14, 1933 in Camden, MO to Clyde Roland and Beulah (Yallaly) Rogers. He married Betty L. Walker of Camden, MO on October 10, 1952. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Sharon Rogers of Camden, Mo, Kent and Dorothy Rogers of Camden, MO, one daughter, Lavonna F. Massey of Warsaw, MO, 8 grandchildren and their spouses, Janelle Rogers, Dana and Shawn DeBlanc, Shannon and Jeremie Gregory, Sarah Howe, Kendrick and Amanda Rogers, Kody and Kalija Rogers, Kiley and Ryan Craig, 8 great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Blackwell, London and Brinley Gregory, Daniel DeBlanc, Braelyn Howe, Kinley, Kayden and Remington Rogers.
In addition to his parents, Beuford was preceded in death by 6 brothers, Paul, Clifford, Roland, Norman "Buddy", Elmer and Wendell Rogers, 3 sisters, Margaret Mercer, Florence Leach and Frances Matthews. One grandson also preceded him in death, Jeremy Todd Rogers.
Beuford was the Ray County Assessor for 12 years. He also worked at the General Motors Fairfax Plant for 17 years. He was a 50 + year member of the Ray Lodge #223 A. F. and A.M. in Camden. He was a lifetime member of the Orrick Quarterback Club. He was a member of the Camden United Methodist Church. He was a 1950 graduate of Camden High School. He had lived in the Camden area all of his life. Beuford enjoyed and loved his grandchildren very much.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, where a Masonic service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be in South Point Cemetery.
