Obituary

BEULAH GRAHAM

Beulah Graham, 98, of Richmond, MO passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Beulah was born on April 12, 1918 in Manes, MO to Millard Franklin and Mary Clementine (Duke) Brewer. Beulah married William Graham, Jr. on January 11, 1945 in Richmond, MO. They were blessed with three wonderful children.
Beulah is survived by her daughters, Linda (Billy) Leach of Richmond, MO and Sandra Ferguson of Columbia, MO, her grandchildren Stephanie (Mike) Waigand of Richmond, MO, Carrie (John) Bryant of Columbia, MO, Dr. Meredith (Dr. Ryan) Snyder of Libery, MO, Amy (Dr. Jason Beal) Ferguson of Overland Park, KS, Amanda (Steve) Salzman of Houston, TX, and eight great-grand children Rance and Alexa Waigand, Jillian and Adrienne Bryant, Maddie and Jake Snyder, and Preston and Pierce Salzman, brother Darrell (Shirley) Brewer of Excelsior Springs, MO, sister-in-law Ruthie Graham of Richmond, MO and daughter-in-law Barbara Creason of Polo, MO.
She is preceded in death by her husband William Graham Jr, son Ronnie Graham, son-in-law Gordon Ferguson, mother, father, sister, and two brothers M.F. Brewer and James Wendal Brewer.
Beulah enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. If she wasn't in the house cooking a delicious meal for friends, family or the farm hands, you could find her out in her garden picking strawberries or harvesting fresh vegetables. She worked tirelessly on the farm she shared with Junior to raise the cattle, hogs and chickens that fed her family. Many times you could also find her driving the grain truck to help Junior during harvest season.
She loved her farm roots and enjoyed passing her wisdom onto others. Beulah was a 4-H leader for many years and often talked of the fond memories she shared with Junior and her children, Linda, Ronnie and Sandra showing cattle. For many years Beulah and Junior were supporters of the Ray County Fair, purchasing livestock and cured hams from the yearly sale.
In 1985, Junior was almost killed on the farm as the tractor he was driving slipped out of gear as he was stepping off and rolled over him. He spent over 9 months in ICU at KU Medical Center and Beulah never left his side. She spent the next 25 years helping Junior recover from that terrible accident.
Beulah had a tremendous work ethic and passed it along to her children and grandchildren. She was proud to have worked at Gordon Brothers garment factory in Richmond, MO, Lake City Arsenal, Graham Farm, Wollard Bus Company, Cox's Greenhouse, the Ray County Collectors Office and Linda's Floral.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Richmond where she taught Sunday school for several years. She also enjoyed attending Todd's Chapel Church, also in Richmond.
Beulah Graham was loved by her neighbors, friends and most of all her family. She will be missed by many.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Todd's Chapel Church and Cemetery or Richmond First Baptist Church.
