BILLIE D. ADAMS

Billie D. Adams, 79, of Richmond, MO, died at 6:25 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2012, at the Ray County Memorial Hospital, Richmond, MO.
Billie was born April 22, 1932 in Vibbard, MO to Oren C. and Frances (Clevenger) Lee. She married James L. Adams of Mirable, MO on October 17, 1952; he preceded her in death on July 10, 2000.
Survivors include her mother, Frances Lee of Richmond; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Susan Adams of Richmond, and Keith "Hap" and Rexanne Adams of Platte City, MO; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jesse and Debbie Lee of Higginsville, MO, and Jerry and Bonnie Lee of Excelsior Springs, MO; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Patty and Harry Lyon of Carrollton, MO, and Carol Proffitt of Richmond; two grandchildren, Jamie McGinnis and her husband, Jeremy, and Tina Adams; and three great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Kassie and Kaden.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one sister, who died in infancy.
Billie lived most of her life in Richmond. She worked at Price Candy Company and was a cook at Shirkey's Nursing Home. She was a member of the Richmond Christian Union Church and a 50 year member of the Acacia Chapter #42 O.E.S. in Polo, MO.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond Christian Union Church.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 14, at 1:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Visitation will be Monday, February 13, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO, where an O.E.S. service will be held at 6:45 p.m. prior to the visitation. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, MO.
