BILLY DWAYNE DAUGHERTY
Billy Dwayne Daugherty, 54, of Richmond, MO, died on Monday, April 15, 2013 at his home. Billy was born on December 9, 1958 in Richmond, MO the son of Charles Alfred and Shirley Ann (Stephenson) Daugherty. He married Janet Lee Adams of Richmond, MO on July 21, 1979; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: his mother, Shirley Black and her husband, Paul of St. Joseph, MO; two daughters, Mandy Green and her husband, Nathan and Amy Daugherty and her Fiancé, Aaron Lee all of Richmond; two granddaughters, Hailee Green and Ariel Lee; one brother, Charles Daugherty of St. Joseph; one sister, Stephanie Mitchell and her fiancé, Noah Estes of Richmond. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Jeanie Adams; three sisters-in-law, Diana Adams, Regina Persell and her husband, Phil and Angela Hambrick all of Richmond. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Daugherty, step-father, Ronald Stockton, father-in-law, Charles Adams and his brother-in-law, Jeffery Adams.
Billy was currently employed by Ray County Road and Bridge. Billy was a truck driver most of his life, an over the road trucker when the girls where young and also for several local trucking company's before going to work for Ray County. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Richmond, the Missouri Trap Shooters Association and the Richmond Men's Bowling League. Besides being an avid trap shooter, Billy, also enjoyed riding his motorcycle with friends to go out to eat, gardening and going to the Lake. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids, and their many family vacations and all the wonderful memories they made together. Billy's enduring smile will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church on Richmond. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in Richmond Memory gardens Cemetery.
