BILLY DON NORRIS

Billy Don Norris, 64, of Excelsior Springs, MO died at 12:45 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2011 at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO.
Billy was born on October 21, 1946 in Rayville, MO to Clarence B. and Carrie Joy (Wood) Norris. He was first married to Marilyn Scrutchfield of Orrick, MO, then to Veronica Ann Reininga of Pompano Beach, FL.
Survivors include two sons, Kurt Norris of Belton, MO and Christopher Norris of Seattle, WA, one daughter and one son-in-law Courtney Elliott and her husband Paul of Charlotte, NC, two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jimmy and Vicenta Norris of Richmond and Jeffrey Wayne Norris of Lexington, two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Peggy and Harry Hackett of Richmond, and Betty and Paul Mitchell of Rayville, two grandchildren Beau Crawford Elliott and Clara Jane Elliott.
He was preceded in death by both parents and one brother Parrish Norris.
Billy was a Postal Clerk at the Excelsior Springs Post Office. He was a 1964 graduate of the Excelsior Springs High School and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was of the Christian faith and lived most of his life in Ray and Clay County.
The family suggests memorial contribution be made to the Billy Don Norris Memorial Fund.

Memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday July 25, 2011, at Watkins Mill State Park, Excelsior Springs, near the boat ramp. Military Honors to be provided by the Ray County Veterans.
