BOB HATCHER
Bob Hatcher, 78, of Richmond, MO, died at 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2011, at the Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond, MO.
Mr. Hatcher was born January 26, 1933 in Turney, MO to Isaac and Bessie (Kidwell) Hatcher. He married Myrna L. Crist of Hamilton, MO on July 22, 1969; she survives, of the home.
Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Tony Ray and Sarah Hatcher of Richmond; and two grandsons, Logan Thomas Hatcher and Cooper Riley Hatcher.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank Hatcher, Isaac Hatcher, James Hatcher and Jewell Hatcher; and six sisters, Mary Park, Blanch Potter, Ruth Barnhart, Beulah May Hatcher, Juanita Burnside and Nellie Weaver.
Mr. Hatcher owned and operated Westside Barber Shop in Carrollton, MO for 25 years. He had lived in Cameron, MO, Carrollton and Richmond. He was a graduate of Cameron High School. He attended Kansas City Barber College. He enjoyed singing and playing his guitar in a country band and played all over Missouri. He was of the Christian faith.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, September 14, at 1:30 p.m. at the Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, MO. Military Honors will be conducted by the Ray County Veterans. Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO is in charge of arrangements.
