BONNIE LEE THOMAS

Bonnie Lee Thomas, 78, of Richmond, MO died on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at her home.

Bonnie was born on November 8, 1936 in Bosworth, MO to Roy Lee and Hazel (Wagy) Hanavan. She married Harry Erskine Thomas of Miami Station, MO on January 29, 1953. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2006.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Skip Trindle of Richmond; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Jean Belt of Marceline, MO and Margie and Maurice Uhrmacher of Burneyville, OK; three grandchildren, James Lee Dorton, Jamie Dorton and her significate other, Kyle Arnold and Aaron Trindle and his wife, Heather; and three grandchildren, Jaxon Lee Dorton, Kayton Lee Arnold and Taelyn Lee Dorton.

In addition to her parents and husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by one sister, Delores Potter.

Bonnie was owner and operator of the Mode-O-Day in Richmond and Lexington. She was also assistant manager of Mattingly Department Store in Richmond. She was past worthy matron of O.E.S. chapter #302 in Bosworth, MO. Bonnie was a member of the Richmond American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of the Bosworth Methodist Church. She had lived most of her life in Richmond.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Crossroads Hospice, Children's Mercy Hospital or to the Shriners Hospitals for children.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
