Brenda Denise Marten, 66, of Richmond, died Friday, October 16, 2020, at North Kansas City Hospital.

Brenda was born on November 16, 1953, in Kansas City, the daughter of Harold Dale and Mardelle (Heins) Marten.

Survivors include one brother, Steven Marten and several cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Brenda was reared and educated in Richmond and a 1973 graduate of Richmond High School.  She worked for Ray County Memorial Hospital for 41 years in the dietary department.  She was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Faith Lutheran Church.  They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
