Cecil Kent "Dude" Mallott, 64, of Independence died Thursday, July 5, 2018 unexpectedly at his home.
Dude was born on March 14, 1954 in Lexington, to Cecil John and Julia Maxine (Mohn) Mallott. He was united in marriage to Deborah Eileen "Jenny" Silvestri of Independence, on September 26, 2015, she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: one son, Christopher Kent Mallott of Warrensburg; one daughter, Amanda (Aaron) Bleibaum of Lexington; two step sons: Michael (Clarissa) Bourgeois of Independence and Matthew Bourgeois of Independence; two grandchildren: Rori Bleibaum and Crosby Bleibaum, two step grandchildren: Luke Silvestri and Oliver Bourgeois; two brothers: Danny E. Mallott of Sunrise Beach and D. Greg (Connie) Mallott of Independence; two sisters: J. Rachelle (Dudley) Newham of Norborne and Donna Vance of Higginsville; and half-sister, Bobbi Lynn of Richmond.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Karen Shutt.
Dude was a 1973 graduate of Richmond High School. Out of high school, he worked for Trailmobile in North Kansas City as a welder building tanker trailers. In 1982, he started employment at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in the Tip ID Building and retired in 2017. He was currently working at Dave Cross Motors in Lee's Summit. Dude loved racing and was an avid Nascar super fan. He loved motorcycles, especially his 2013 Harley Breakout that he named "Jenny II". He loved his family, enjoyed hanging out with his many biker buddies, especially Gary Patrick, who was also his best man at his wedding and morning coffee at the Tool Shed on 40 Highway. He was also a craft beer connoisseur.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Cecil Kent "Dude" Mallott Memorial Fund. They may be dropped off or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 E. Main, P. O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085
Visitation and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 11, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation to begin at noon followed by his funeral at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date by his family in Richmond Memory Gardens.
