Cheryl Renee
Woods
Aug 27, 1965 — Nov 30, 2023
On Thursday, November 30, 2023, Cheryl Renee Woods, 58, of Henrietta, gained her wings and went to walk with the angels, with her two daughters by her side.
Cheryl was born on August 27, 1965, in North Kansas City, the daughter of Eli and Mae Marie (Ahrens) Truesdale.
Survivors include: two daughters, Caylah Woods (Jose) of Sugar Creek and Chanda Woods of Richmond; six grandchildren: Aireanna, Taylor, Dayton, Kyler, T.J., and Jayden; and three sisters: Elisa Crank of Kansas City, Linda Winn of Arkansas, and Debbie Lasker of Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Benita Egnatic, and her significant other, Randall Baugher.
Cheryl lived her young life in Valley Falls, KS, and graduated in the class of 1983.
Cheryl lived her adult life in Richmond, MO, and worked for Orbseal as a shipping and receiving clerk for over 10 years. She was a homemaker for the remaining years. It was in Richmond that she and her ex-husband had their two children, Chanda, and Caylah Woods. Forever proud of her children, boasting them as "her greatest accomplishments." She was joyfully called "NANA" by her grandchildren, loving them more than she could ever imagine.
Cheryl was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but she had an enormous heart and wonderful soul. She was generous, loyal, brave, quite clever, and full of knowledge that she gained through all her life experiences.
Cheryl will be remembered for all the heart she shared with her friends and family; she truly loved each and every one of them and if you knew her, you know it. When the time came, she carried herself with dignity, strength, and full of love from those who went before her. She will be dearly missed.
In typical Cheryl fashion, there are no services planned, certainly no POMP & CIRCUMSTANCE. A celebration of life will occur on January 6, 2024, at city hall in Henrietta, MO. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of arrangements. Please remember to share your memories of Cheryl with the family by visiting www.thurmanfuneralhome.com.
