NORMA CHRISTINE WILLIS

Christine Willis, 76, of Lathrop, MO, died at 2:50 p.m., Sunday, March 14, 2010, at her home.
Norma Christine Willis was born January 3, 1934 in Marceline, MO to Louis and Juanita (Wilken) Sportsman. She married Jack Willis on September 12, 1953; he survives of the home.
Additional survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jack Alvin and Leona Mae Willis of Linneus, MO, Pride Aaron and Jackie Lee Willis of Cowgill, MO and Bryan Eugene Willis of Polo, MO; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Thomas and Judy Sportsman of Rayville, MO, Arthur and Jackie Sportsman of Marceline, MO, Samuel and Janet Sportsman of Marceline, MO and James Sportsman of Independence, MO; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Freda Zimmerman of Brookfield, MO and Linda and Richard Thudium of Rothville, MO; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sonja Renee Quigley; one brother, Wilbur Sportsman; one sister, Leona Hayes; one granddaughter, Samantha Willis; and one great-granddaughter, Kira Lawson.
Christine graduated from the Stet High School. She had lived most of her life in the Lawson and Lathrop area. She was a homemaker. She was an active member in the St. Paul Christian Union Church in Knoxville, where she was a song leader and a Sunday School Teacher.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Christine Willis Memorial Fund.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 19, at 1:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday, March 18, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home.
