CHRISTOPHER WAYNE REED

Christopher Wayne Reed, 50, of Richmond, Mo, was found October 29, 2016 near his home.

Chris was born on April 26, 1966 in Kansas City, Mo to Richard Reed and Linda Cole. He married Lisa Rae Proffitt of Richmond, Mo on June 4, 1988. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include; his son, Kody Reed of the home, his daughter, Baley Reed of the home, his father and step-mother, Richard and Mary Reed of Richmond, Mo, his mother, Linda Cole of Smithville, Mo, 2 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law, Debbie and Todd Nicholson of Aurora, Co, Holly and David Baker of Lee's Summit, Mo. Chris is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his mother-in-law, Ruth Acree of Richmond, Mo.

Chris was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Reed.

Chris was a 1984 graduate of Richmond High School. He worked 21 years at the Ford Claycomo plant in Kansas City. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union, Local #249. He was a member of the Richmond United Christian Presbyterian Church. Chris loved oval track and sprint car racing. He loved his family and his animals. He had lived in Richmond most of his life.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to his Children's Education Fund.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Richmond United Christian Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Church.
