Christy Lynn (Akers) Cline 56, a resident of Richmond, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, at North Kansas City Hospital.

Christy was born on October 7, 1968, in Richmond, the daughter of Lonnie Ray and Toni (Haskins) Akers.

Survivors include: mother, Toni Akers of Richmond; two children, Lucas Cline of Kansas City and Paige Cline of Seattle, WA; two grandchildren, Aleah and Tillman; brother, Troy (Sue) Akers of Kansas City; sister, Shelly (Akers) Milligan of Richmond; several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Christy had a heart for people and found joy in being there for others in any way she could. She never knew a stranger and cherished every moment spent with family and friends. Her greatest joys in life were fishing and making memories with her beloved grandchildren. A longtime resident of Richmond, Christy's kindness and generosity touched many lives. In her final act of selflessness, she gave the gift of hope to others through organ donation. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
