CLARENCE ANDREW "ANDY" CRAVENS
Clarence Andrew "Andy" Cravens, 78, of Kansas City, MO, died at 9:19 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2011 at his home in Kansas City, MO.
Andy was born on December 7, 1933 in Camden, Mo to Roger T. and Malinda (Black) Cravens. He first married Geneva Grace Kochenderfer of Lewistown, PA in 1958. He later married Bernice E. Donoho of Weiser, ID on November 26, 1996. She preceded him in death on January 26, 2011.
Survivors include; one son, Andrew W. Cravens of Salt Lake City, UT, three daughters and three sons-in-law, Linda and Jerry Gaydusek of Kansas City, MO, Laura Anne and Jeffery Lee of Kansas City, MO, Lisa Kaye and Samuel Hoepner, grandson Evan Louis Hoepner, all of Kansas City, MO, one brother, Morris Cravens of Willard, MO, three sisters and three brothers-in-law, Roberta and George Frank of Campbell, CA, Martha and Don Wright of Richmond, MO, Mary and Bill Wright of Richmond.
Andy was a postal police officer for the United States Post Office for 30 years, before retiring in 1993. He also worked as a crossing guard for the Raytown School District. He was a member of the Walnut Grove Christian Church. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He had lived in the Kansas City area most of his life.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, and Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Raytown Christian Church at 6108 Blue Ridge Blvd. Raytown, MO 64133. Burial will be in Cravens Cemetery near Camden, MO.
