CONNIE SUE SHANNON

Connie Sue Shannon, 59, Norborne, MO, died at 1:39 a.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Carroll County Hospital in Carrollton, MO.
Connie was born on November 22, 1950 to Eudell and Isabelle (Maestas) Ross. She married Larry Wayne Shannon of Norborne, MO on March 4, 1971. He survives of the home.
Additional survivors include; her father, Eudell Ross of Las Vegas, NV one son, Brandon S. Shannon of Norborne, MO, two daughters and one son-in-law, Tabitha and Val Tunnell of Jacksonville, NC, Danika Shannon of Norborne, MO, three brothers, Jimmy Ross of Las Vegas, NV, Bobby Ross of Las vegas, NV, Anthony Blea of Las Cruces, NM, one sister, Janice Buie of Norborne, MO and eight grandchildren, Megan, Blaine, Hayden, Madison, Valerie, Izaiyah, Noah and Myleigh.
In addition to her mother, Connie was preceded in death by her step-father, Tony Blea and one son, Rodney Shannon.
Connie was a registered nurse. She was of the Catholic faith. She was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 11, at 10:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Norborne, MO. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 10, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Norborne, MO. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery, Norborne, MO, where Military Graveside Services will be conducted. Thurman Funeral Home, Norborne, MO is in charge of the arrangements.
