DALE EDWARD STANSBURY

Dale Edward Stansbury, 85, of Richmond, MO died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.

Dale was born on July 25, 1931 in Farmington, IA to Robert William and Mary Alice (Weiher), II. He married Oneida V. Drummond of Farmington, IA on June 9, 1949. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Dale and Donna Stansbury of Lee's Summit, MO; two daughters and son-in-law, Verlee Gail and Paul Patterson of Richmond and Veda Gwen Stansbury of Tempe, AZ; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Pat Stansbury of Union, IA; two sisters, Joan Wilson of Wayland, MO and Vesta Hallowell of Bethany, OK; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; and 8 step-great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by one daughter, Vonnie Gae Wilkerson; five brothers, Eugene Stansbury, Maurice Stansbury, Callen Stansbury, Stanley Stansbury and Joe Stansbury; and two sisters, Dorothy Mansell, Betty Yount and a granddaughter, Karla Rachell Wilkerson, who died in infancy.

Dale worked as a Blue Print Layout for Kenworth Motor Truck Company for 15 years. He also worked at Lake City Arsenal and CB&Q Railroad. He was a 50 year member and Past Master of the Richmond Masonic Lodge #57 A.F. & A.M., where he was a Masonic Home Representative and District Deputy Grand Master for the 23 rd Masonic District of Missouri. Dale received the 212 Degree Award in 2016. He was a member of the Richmond First Baptist Church where he was a Deacon Emeritus and was a chairman of the ushers for several years. Dale was a member and Past President of the I.O.O.F. in Richmond. He was a member of the Missouri Baptist Campers on Missions for over 30 years. He lived in Richmond most of his life.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Shirkey Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Richmond First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Masonic service at 5:45 p.m. at the Richmond First Baptist Church.
