Once he finished high school in Lexington, MO, David spent his pre-retirement life primarily Owner and Operator of Bost Funeral Home in Wellington, MO for several years. He was also a member of the Gospel Lovin' Four.
During this time he assisted the community with mowing the local cemetery, leadership on the Wellington Fair Board, driving an occasional school bus and singing with other members of the Gospel Lovin' Four and more.
Retirement did not slow him down. He committed his time to his local community around Blue Cat Point-checking on neighbors and friends, assisting them with mowing, security of their homes, teaching the neighbor's kids and grandkids how to ski and more.
David fought a long and grueling fight the last three years with is health. He stayed positive and did not allow it to slow him down as he had grandkids to see graduate from high school and college and experience great-grandchildren's first words, steps and birthdays.
David taught us all a new meaning of creating the quality of life in each day as the quantity of this life is unknown.
Dave expressed that in lieu of flowers that donations be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
