David Wayne Rhodelander, 63, of Kansas City, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024, at his home.

David was born on October 13, 1960, in Richmond, the son of Dewey and Evelyn (Keith) Rhodelander.  He was united in marriage to Shelly Hembree of Raytown on February 14, 1994; she survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: two sons, Everett Blankenship of Richmond and Donald Rhodelander of Bonner Springs, KS; daughter, Rachelle; brother, Darren Rhodelander of Arkansas; two sisters, Lorena Wilson of Hardin and Brandy Hickman of Blue Springs; three grandsons: Gage Blankenship, Tanner Hembree, and Trey Hembree; nephew, Kristopher Todd; four nieces: Jessica Keil, Ashley Carry, Kandy Stapp, and Misty Alderson; one great niece, Autumne Heffernan; and brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Tina Tisch of Liberty.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Dennis Rhodelander, Daniel Rhodelander, and Ben Williams, brother in law, Charlie Wilson, and his father and mother-in-law, Everett and Barbara Hembree.

David attended Hardin-Central High School.  He was a wonderful father, husband, son, brother, and friend.  David was sick for quite some time and passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was loved by many people and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  May he rest in eternal peace.
