Obituary

Deborah Kay Black, 61, of Milan, MO died Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the Milan Health Care Center.

Deborah was born on October 22, 1956 in Garland, TX to Percy Carl and Lillian Alajean (Vance) Hampton.

Survivors include; two daughters and one son-in-law, Stephanie Lynn Woolfolk of Richmond and Stacy Kay and Jamie Cummings of Lake Dallas, TX; one sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Bruce Jackson of Henderson, TX; 6 grandchildren, T.J. Cummings, Crystal, Stephen, Michael, Katherine and William Woolfolk.

In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Hampton; and one grandson, Alvin William.

As a young girl, Deborah won Miss Garland, TX pageant.   She then went onto college on the scholarship she won from the pageant to Harding University in Searcy, AK.  Deborah was a homemaker, a good country cook and mother.   Deborah was of the Christian faith and had a major love for God.  Her passion was her children and grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Visitation and memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the LBS Chapel off of O Hwy in Wood Heights. Memorial graveside will be Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. On line condolences may be left on our website at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
