DELORES KATHLEEN SKILES

Delores Kathleen Skiles, 76, of Richmond, MO died at 11:52 a.m., on Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Delores was born on July 1, 1934 in Richmond to Jerry and Lorena (Griffin) Outersky, Sr. She married Raymond Skiles of Richmond on May 13, 1972; he survives of the home.
Other survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Edward Williams of Richmond; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Bonnie Outersky of Richmond; one sister, Joyce Jellum of Richmond; two grandchildren, Amanda Mallott and Christopher Mallott; one step-daughter, Shelby Linebach of St. Joseph, MO; 6 step-grandchildren, Aubrey Linebach, Drew Linebach, Clay Linebach, Carson Linebach, Alisha Williams, Lindsay Williams; 4 step-great-grandchildren, Tuff Harris, Tayla Williams, Hanna Lowery and Henley Adams.
Delores was 1952 graduate from the Richmond High School. She was the 1953 Powder Puff Derby Queen. Delores work history included 19 years for the Bendix Corporation in Kansas City, before going to work for Lake City Arsenal where she worked for 13 years before retiring in 1992. She was a past member of the American Business Women in Kansas City for 16 years. She was a graduate of the Toastmasters International of Kansas City. Delores was of the Baptist faith and had lived most of her life in the Richmond area.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church in Richmond.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Richmond. Visitations will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
