DENNY McCORKENDALE
Denny McCorkendale, 56, of Richmond, MO, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at his home.
Denny was born March 21, 1954 in Carrollton, MO to Harold L. and Evelyn (Alexander) McCorkendale. He was reared by his Uncle Harold and Aunt Della Ballard. They all preceded him in death. He married LaDonna Thompson of Lee's Summit, MO on June 5, 2002; she survives, of the home.
Other survivors include one step-son, Lance Bowles of Independence, MO; one step-daughter, Cammie Miller and her husband, Jason of Lee's Summit, MO; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Christy McCorkendale of Hardin, MO and Doug and Anna Marie Cron of Kansas City, KS; five step-grandchildren, Trent Miller, Trevor Miller, Tanner Miller, Alexis Miller and Caleb Bowles; and two nieces, Sarah McCorkendale and Alaina Cron.
Denny was a truck driver for Lake City Arsenal for 26 years before retiring in 2009. He loved to Farm. He was a 1972 graduate of Hardin High School and lived in the Hardin and Richmond areas most of his life. He was of the Christian faith.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Keith Worthington Chapter of A.L.S.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 23, at 10:30 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 22, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Burial will be at Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, MO. Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO is in charge of the arrangements.
