DOLLY VIRGINIA (WOODS) O'DELL

Dolly Virginia O'Dell, 80, of Richmond, MO died at 11:14 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Dolly was born on April 29, 1931 in Hunter, ND to Christian R. and Valborg (Ottesen) Hansen. She first married David S. Woods of Camden, MO on August 19, 1950; he preceded her in death on July 5, 1973. She later married Leonard K. O'Dell of Richmond on March 18, 1983; he preceded her in death on April 6, 2001.
Survivors include two sons and daughters in-law, Gayle D. and Patricia Woods of Springfield, MO, Joe L. and Tami Woods of Richmond, MO, one daughter and son-in-law, Kristy D. and Dennis Kirk of Richmond; two brothers and sisters-in-law, C.R. and Ingrid Hansen of Oregon, Robert and Margie Hansen of Arizona; two sisters, Janice Miller of Minnesota and Irene Quiteschreiber of Oregon; five grandchildren, Aaron Leathers and his wife, Candace, Andrea Woods, Cody Kirk, Cassie D. Kirk and Angela K. Woods; and 6 great-grandchildren, Austin, Brenden, Alexi, Taryn, Ethan and Benjamin.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Dolly was preceded in death by one daughter who died in infancy; two brothers, Alvin Hansen and Donald Hansen; and three sisters, Lorene, Mary and Valborg.
Dolly worked in the housekeeping department at Ray County Memorial Hospital for over 20 years before retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Camden United Methodist Church. She had lived in the Camden and Richmond areas most of her life.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Vitas Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at South Point Cemetery in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
