DONALD Q. KIST

Donald Q. Kist, 82, of Richmond, MO, died at 10:41 a.m., on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at his home.
Donald was born February 11, 1928 in Lexington, MO to Joseph E. and Daisy L. (Whitinger) Kist.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Vickie Kist of Richmond; and two step-grandchildren, Joshua and Saleia Gossman.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Kist; and one sister, "Willie" Bills.
Donald was a mechanic for the Operating Engineers Union Local 101 in Kansas City, where he was a member for several years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of WWII. He was a life member of the Lexington VFW Post #4052. Donald had lived in Lexington and Henrietta before moving to Richmond a year ago.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Missouri Disabled Veterans Association.

Memorial graveside services will be Friday, October 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO is in charge of the arrangements.
