DONALD CLIFTON PAUL
Donald Clifton Paul, 75, of Stet, MO, died at 1:49 p.m., Monday, June 7, 2010, at the Ray County Memorial Hospital, Richmond, MO.
Donald was born November 14, 1934 in Georgeville, MO, to Clifton and Mary (Coffman) Paul. He married Lois Jean McNelly of Stet on December 31, 1961; she survives, of the home.
Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Steven Lynn and Brenda Paul of Stet; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Jo and Gary Kugler of Stet; one brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Zelda Haynes of Lowery, MO; one sister, Lenora Kurtz of Everett, WA; four grandchildren, Alexandria Lynn Paul, Addison Lynn Paul, Paul Hays Kugler and Clifton Ola Kugler; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Haynes.
Donald was a lifelong farmer. He lived in the Stet area most of his life. He was a 1952 graduate of the Stet High School. He served on the Stet School Board and the Consumer Oil Coop Board. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Tweedie-Murray American Legion Post in Braymer, MO. Donald loved going to Braymer and playing cards with his Legion Buddies.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Stet-Penniston Cemetery, Stet, MO.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. There will be no family visitation; the body will lie in state Friday, June 11, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO. Burial will be at Stet-Penniston Cemetery, Stet, MO. Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, MO is in charge of the arrangements.
