Donna Marie Coleman, 68, of Richmond, MO died unexpectedly Thursday, December 28, 2017 at her home.

Donna was born on August 13, 1949 in Richmond, one of eight children and the only daughter of Richard and Katherine (Canfield) Lamar. She married Joseph B Coleman, Sr. of Richmond, MO on November 14, 1970; he preceded her in death on March 13, 2007.

Additional survivors include: her children, Joseph B "Joe" Coleman, Jr., Michelle L. Rogers, both of Richmond and Angela M. White of Kearney, MO; 7grandchildren; Darren Jenkins, Kristen Rogers, Ryan White, Christian White, Jonathan White, Lance Rogers and Nathan White; five brothers, Richard Lamar of Liberty, MO, John Lamar of Sedalia, MO, Donald (Donna) Lamar of Richmond, Luke Lamar of Excelsior Springs, MO and Jim (Nancy) Lamar of Richmond; and many nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Roy Lee Lamar and Mark Lamar, and son-in-law Brandon Lee White.

Donna lived most of her life in Richmond where she was a homemaker, wife, and a mother above all else. She worked outside the home briefly at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation serving hot meals to others. Donna enjoyed to knit, sew and crochet, she was so crafty. Donna was a member of the Christian Fellowship Ministries Church, Richmond, where she attended weekly bible study that she loved so much. She also served on the Board of the Cotton Creek Christian Ministries Church. She was of strong faith and loved her family, her extended family and her church family very much.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Donna Marie Coleman Fund.

A Celebration of Donna's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Christian Fellowship Ministries Church north of Richmond. Friends and family will gather one hour prior to services to fellowship and share special memories before services time at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Richmond Memory Garden Cemetery in Richmond. Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
