DONNA KAY HOARD

Donna Kay Hoard, 77, of Richmond, MO passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 at the North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO.

Donna was born on February 2, 1939 in Richmond, MO to Vernon and Mary (Kincaid) Burke. She married Kenneth Hoard of Richmond, MO on June 22, 1956. He survives of the home.

Additional survivors include; 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Vicki and Greg Smith of Excelsior Springs, MO, Kathy Fitzwater of Richmond, MO, 1 son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Diane Hoard of Richmond, MO, 1 sister, Rosemary Fahrmeier and her husband, Don of Odessa, MO, 6 grandchildren and their spouses, Megan and Craig Minton, Maranda and B.J. Oster, Caleb Fitzwater, Ryan Smith, AmberKay Hoard, and Ariel Hoard. Four great-grandchildren also survive, Trinity Oster, Karmyn Minton, Zanna Oster and Jack Minton, along with several nieces and nephews.

Donna was a homemaker. She was a member of the Christian Fellowship Ministries Church in Richmond, where she was a pianist, past church secretary and a spiritual counselor. Donna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to work outdoors and in her garden. She loved fishing. Donna was a lifelong Richmond resident.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Christian Fellowship Ministries Church in Richmond.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Christian Fellowship Ministries Church in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
