DORA A. MILLSAP

Dora A. Millsap, 89, of Richmond, MO died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 on her way home from the hospital.
Dora was born on February 21, 1923 in Henrietta, MO to Leslie Kirk and Lillian Jewell (Seek) Davis. She married Thomas Pershing Millsap of Camden, MO on May 9, 1940; he preceded her in death on November 30, 2010.
Survivors include one son, R. M. "Mike" Millsap of Rayville, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Bruce White of Richmond; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dora was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Millsap and Dwight Millsap; one brother who died in infancy; and two sisters, Mildred Thompson and Hughetta Young.
Dora was a homemaker. She had worked at Lake City Arsenal. She was a member of the Camden United Methodist Church and president of the Camden PTA. Dora was also a member of the Richmond Shrinette's and the Ray County Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a 4H Leader. As a young girl she was a captain of her High School basketball team the Camden Comets.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
