DORIS HEWLETT

Doris Hewlett, 71, of Richmond, MO, died Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Doris was born on October 24, 1942 in Berlin, Germany. She married T. C. Hewlett of Richmond, MO, while he was stationed in Germany, on May 14, 1965. Together they returned to the United States in 1966, along with their son, Tommy Hewlett.
Additional survivors include, her husband, T.C. Hewlett of the home; one son, Tommy Hewlett and his fiancé, Debbie Banks of Knoxville, TN; one daughter, Tracey Hewlett and her fiancé, Glen Parkes of Richmond; two adopted daughters, Wendy Weaver and Kim Maples both from Richmond; six grandchildren, Nick Hewlett, Cortnie Hewlett, Jessie Hewlett, Char Welch, Garrett Hewlett and Megan Veach-Wallace ; two brothers, Udo Kubler and his wife, Reinta and Heinz Kubler all of Berlin, Germany; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Annie also survive.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Suzette Hewlett.
Doris was a housewife and homemaker and also worked outside of the home. She had worked many years as supervisor at Price Candy factory in Richmond. She also worked in the Dietary Department at the Ray County Memorial Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith. Doris was a member of the Ray County Hospital Auxiliary.
The Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Dockery Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 24 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Interment will be in Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
