Doris Marie Rasa (née Thomas), age 83, formerly of Lexington, MO, passed away peacefully at Foxwood Springs on January 14, 2022 in Raymore, MO.

Doris grew up in Cassville, MO, and was a graduate of Exeter High School in 1956.  She was married to Harlan Rasa in 1958 and they resided in Independence, MO, for many years before moving to Lexington, MO.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ.  She enjoyed traveling, quilting, gardening, reading, and helping others.  Her most recent passion was collecting toys for Children's Mercy Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Harlan Rasa, daughter, Deanna Bodenhamer, parents, Roy and Gene Thomas, sisters, Mary Lovell, Wilma Greek, Thelma Rhoades, Velma Plotner, and Sue Rhoades.

Doris is survived by son, Greg Rasa and wife Alicia Shankland of Bothell, WA; daughter, Brenda Rasa and husband Roger Kern of Livingston, TX; sister, Connie Gorges of Wichita, KS; brother, John Thomas of Thornton, CO; sister, Maggie Thomas of Pueblo, CO; grandchildren: Joshua & Marie Bodenhamer, Chad Murphy, Ashley Mullins, John & Coral Bodenhamer, and Hope Rasa; great-grandchildren: Kayden, Kendahl, Kilee, Jacob, Lucas, Lily, Emma, and Calvin.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to either the Trinity United Church of Christ or to Children's Mercy Hospital.
