DORIS JUNE WIGHTMAN

Doris June Wightman, 83, of Norborne, MO died at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO.
Doris was born on May 27, 1927 to Frank and Junie (Patton) Stephenson. She married Buford E. Wightman of Braymer, MO on June 18, 1951; he survives of the home.
Additional survivors include one son, John B. Wightman of Grain Valley, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy J. and Lou Baldin of Gladstone, MO; five grandchildren and their spouses, Angelina and Eric Baynes, Jennifer and Eli Rauer, Brett S. and Ashley Wightman, Tarah Wightman and Jessica and Ryan Beaver; and four great-grandchildren, Blake Baynes, Logan Beaver, Abbey Wightman and Lucy Wightman also survives.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by one sister, Joan Brune.
Doris lived most of her life in the Norborne area. She was a Librarian for 44 years at the Norborne Public Library before retiring in 2008. She was a member of the Norborne United Methodist Church. Doris loved to play "Bridge" and make plastic canvas crafts.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Norborne Public Library.
