Dorothy was of the Baptist faith and gave her life to the Lord in her 20s. She will be buried at the McPherson Cemetery in McPherson, Kansas at a later date.

She was married to George D Fisher of Springfield, MA.

Dorothy was of the Baptist faith and gave her life to the Lord in her mid-twenties. Old Baptist Hymns were some of her favorites. Some of Dorothy's favorite pastimes were, time with family, singing country music with family, carnivals, riding horses, campfires with hotdogs, lake activities, and preparing for Christmas. Christmas was always a special time with Dorothy and Aunt Bert. Decorations and presents were always abundant. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life like the country night sounds of owls, crickets, locusts coyotes, and frogs. She loved the quiet of fresh winter snow, and the warmth of a wood fire. Dorothy enjoyed any meal she did not have to cook! She was however the best at fried chicken! Even the neighbors would inquire about the aroma of her special recipe!

Dorothy had compassion for people in need, but did not hesitate to borrow a couple cups of flour from a neighbor. She always found a way to provide for her family. Especially in lean times. Saturday's, growing up, were "409 days". Dorothy would issue a sponge to us kids, and spray the dirty spots on the walls for us to scrub. She was a good housewife and a better mother, but not only to us, but whoever we brought home as a friend.
