DOROTHY CECIL RUBOTTOM

Dorothy Cecil Rubottom, 87, of Norborne, MO died Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Liberty Hospital, Liberty, MO.

Dorothy was born on January 5, 1927 in Montague County, TX to Starling and Minnie (Hoffman) Hendricks. She first married Fred W. Mason of Stet, MO on August 14, 1946. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1996. She later married Maurice Rubottom of Stet on April 6, 1997. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2000.

Survivors include one son and one daughter-in-law, Gerald and Debra Mason of Norborne, MO; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Sandy and Howard Fincher of LA Plata, NM and Sue and Bobby Dykes of Kearney, MO; 6 grandchildren, Brenda and Bill Bromley, Kevin and Marla Dell, Karen and Octavio Pizano, Tyler and Breanna Dykes, Stacey and T.J. Burgess and Cole Mason; 12 great-grandchildren; one step-son, Greg Rubottom of Springfield, MO; two step-daughters, Ellen and Bill Tietmeyer of Camdenton, MO and Greta and David Hall of Blue Springs, MO; 5 step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Dorothy was preceded in death by five brothers, Lester Hendricks, J.B. Hendricks, Weldon Hendricks, Jasper Hendricks and James Hendricks; two sisters, Rachel Shurmantine Bell and Loraine Werts-Hulke; and one great- grandson, Andrew Dulaney.

Dorothy worked at John Minnis Ready to Wear and Dickson's Clothing in Carrollton, MO. She was a member of the Bethany Church of the Brethern and the Bethany Ladies Aid. She attended High School in Bowie, TX. Dorothy lived in the Stet area most of her life.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Wakenda Cemetery.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 31, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Wakenda Cemetery north of Hardin, MO.
