DOROTHY M. WHITE

Dorothy M. White, 85, of Hardin, MO, died at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at the Ray County Memorial Hospital.
Dorothy was born on December 29, 1924 in Ray County, MO to Jacob Luther and Elsie Mae (Minnick) VanPelt. She married Allen E. White of Hardin, MO on September 9, 1945. He survives of the home.
Additional survivors include; one son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Terri White of Hardin, MO, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sherry and Jerry Engelbrecht of Higginsville, MO, Sandra and Dean Cantrell of Lawson, MO, Susie White of Hardin, MO, one sister, Helen Wehmeir of Richmond, MO, thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was baptized in the Wakenda Church of the Brethren and was a member of the Bethany Church of the Brethren. She was a homemaker. She was a volunteer for the Ray County Salvation Army. She had lived in the Hardin area most of her life.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ray County Salvation Army.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Wakenda Cemetery, north of Hardin.
