EDNA LOU JONES

(Edna) Lou Jones, 77, of Bradenton, FL and formerly of Clinton, MO died Sunday, April 6, 2014 in Bradenton, FL.

Lou was born on February 7, 1937 in Urbanette, AR to Roy and Ruth (Smith) Hair. She married Eugene R. Jones of Arkansas on February 7, 1953. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1999. Following Gene's death she shared her life with William Eimer until his death in 2009.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Sharon Jones of Kansas City, KS; one daughter and son-in-law, Linn and Tom Neth of Bradenton, FL; one brother, Earl Hair of Brownsville, TX; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley Smith of Carthage, MO, Wanda and Jimmy Warren of Berryville, AR and Cindy and Harold Wolfe of Eureka Springs, AR; 4 grandchildren, Alanda Martin, Brandon Jones, Christopher Jones and Nicole Neth, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lou was preceded in death by one son, Dale Roy Jones; and one sister, Mary Ann Hoffman.

Lou was of the Baptist faith. She had lived in Kansas City North, MO and Clinton, MO before moving to Bradenton, FL three years ago.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Society.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, MO. Visitation will be Friday, April 11, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Crowley Cemetery in Richmond.
