ELVERA JUANITA FANT
Elvera Juanita Fant, 83, of Edwards, MO died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO.
Elvera was born on July 11, 1932 in Cleaton, KY to William Joseph and Myrtle Victoria (Duncan) Miller. She married Arthur Reat Fant of Blue Grove, TX on May 17, 1974. He preceded her in death on September 17, 1982.
Survivors include one son, Claude Edward Scott, Jr., of Polo, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Leisa Neta Fay (Scott) and Ernie Williams of Hardin, MO; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Betty Corrina and William John Hall of Stet, MO and Vicki Rose Duncan of Wheatland, MO; one granddaughter, Melissa Lyn Tylec; one great-grandson, Nathan Edward Tylec; and several nieces, nephews, Betty Jean Craft and her 2 daughters, Christina (Hall) Weber and her husband, Daniel and their 5 children, Jesse Capps, and wife, Teresa and their 2 children and William John Hall, II his wife, Shelly and their 4 children; as well as other family members in Missouri and Kentucky also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, Elvera was preceded in death by one brother, William Edward Miller; other aunts, uncles and cousins in Kentucky; and two nephews, Robert Michael Hall and Joseph Wayne Capps of Ray County, MO.
Elvera was a self-employed Cosmetology and a home maker before a vehicle accident in 1972. She was of the Baptist faith. She had lived in Texas for 20 years before moving to Edwards, MO. Elvera was a member of the Auxiliary American Legion in Warsaw, MO. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Lexington, MO. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, arts and crafts and visiting with family and friends. She especially loved her outings with her niece, Betty Jean Craft (with her scooter).
Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be held at a later date. On line condolences may be left on our website at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
